You say you have not changed the product, but you must have done something. It is now slimy, and no matter how much I rinse my toothbrush-when it is dry the bristles are rock hard. I never had this problem before! This is my second tube bought from a different store-same problem. Please change the product back to what it was!!!

I'm sorry the Crest Tartar Protection Toothpaste seems slimy. We have strict quality standards and wouldn't expect this. Please be assured I'm sharing your feedback with our quality team. Thanks for your review.

ADA Accepted

I' ve been getting this and the gel (tartar protection) for years. Both have always been ADA Accepted products until apparently recently. I was shocked to find that both products now do not contain the ADA Accepted seal and neither box now contains the phrase "Helps prevent tartar and cavities" as they previously have. After double-checking the ingredients, it appears nothing changed in the formula. What has caused this product to no longer contain the ADA Accepted seal and the phrase mention above to be removed? Is this product no longer proven to be "effective"?

Why did you change the formula?
Anonymous
I've used the tartar control paste since it was introduced many years ago. Why did you change the formula? I have an old box and a new box and the ingredients have changed. The new product is slimy and does not resemble paste.

I understand your frustration with the Crest Tartar Protection Toothpaste, but we haven't made any changes to the formula to cause the product to be slimy. We do make the Crest Tartar Protection in a paste and a gel so you may want to give it another try!

The Best Crest Product: Crest Tartar Protection
cmhorg
This Crest product is by far the best one on the market. For those of us who aren't interested in whitening products, this is an excellent choice. I've noticed that there are fewer and fewer alternatives (including this product) to whitening toothpastes on the shelf...I hope Crest continues to make and sell this excellent product.

peppermint

I have used this since it was introduced, and has been very good. The last two tubes I have used the peppermint has been overly strong. It feels like I have a stong burning feeling in my mouth. Two things could be happening, the flavor has been overly increased, or my mouth has become extra sensitive. I now have to fimd another toothpaste to meet my needs, crast or another brand. I do not want to change, because as I said, I have been using Crest sine it was put on the market.
